An “all-ages” museum set in an old textile factory with ample space to roam and discover, specially designated interactive play-areas for toddlers and mind-and-physics games and experiments for older kids (and adults!)

Located at the top of a special viewpoint located south of the city in the neighborhood of the railway station known as Chimbacalle, the MIC or Interactive Science Museum is the closest thing to a children’s museum in Quito. A great place to visit with children and family that includes different rooms for different age groups and several rooms that host a series of temporary exhibitions and other events. Find extensive outdoor play areas, beautiful facilities in what used to be an old textile factory (the looms are still shown), a wonderful mobile sculpture by the artist Maurice Montero and excellent interactive exhibitions …
